ABOUT OUR PRESIDENT
As a former foster child who grew up in the "system" until aging out at eighteen years old, Alecia Rodriguez has first hand knowledge of what it is like for those growing up in foster care.
In 2014 she established Sadie's Daughter, Inc. (SDI) which is a registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that was created to give back by mentoring and connecting youth with positive members of their community, provide support, and promote youth self-esteem.
Her educational background in clinical mental health, social work, and psychology have contributed to over ten years of success in the public and private sectors for non-profit management, government agencies and educational industries.
We provide comprehensive programs to address the things that will help children who are in need of permanent connections due to being in foster care. In addition, we also work closely with at-risk youth in the Miami-Dade county community who are in court ordered group homes and post-detention programs such as Miami Bridge Youth & Family Services and Girl Power Rocks. We also partner with groups such as Hands On Miami and Girl Up, to name a few.
